Ingredients:
6 slices of bacon, chopped
1 large onion, diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 large head of cabbage, cored and sliced
1 tablespoon of salt (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
½ teaspoon of onion powder
½ teaspoon of garlic powder
⅛ teaspoon of paprika
Instructions:
Place the chopped bacon in a large stockpot and cook over medium-high heat until crispy (about 10 minutes).
Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook and stir until the onion caramelizes (about 10 minutes).
Immediately stir in the sliced cabbage and continue to cook and stir for another 10 minutes.
Season with salt, ground black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika.
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes more.
